unauthorized charge and account help

i have an unauthorized and unknown charge from microsoft on my debit card. this happened to me last year and was resolved til now but honestly i don't remember the details. however i suspect it has something to do with an xbox. I do not have and xbox but my grandson does and i have used my card to purchase games for him before through his console. otherwise, i don't have any payment method saved on my account, nor do i have any subscriptions and the charges do not show up in my activity on my account. i need help reversing and stopping the charge and to remove the card from his xbox if it happens to be saved on there

Ok I signed in and in order to investigate I had to add this card to my account. It wasn't there to begin with. I was hoping what you were saying is that investigating would tell me whose Microsoft account has my card linked to it. I already knew what card of mine it was charged to It WAS in fact an Xbox game. How do I go about removing it from someone else's account?

Hello, thanks for your reply.

Use the payment tracking tool I mentioned to identify the account the charge came from.

If the charge doesn't appear when using this tool, it means it's not registered in the Xbox system.

Thank you I appreciate your response. I have 2 Microsoft accounts and brother one has a card or payment method attached. Also these purchases are not in my history. I need to have it unlinked from my grandsons Xbox I think. Is not, idk what the charge is for as there is no record of payment or purchase on either of my accounts

I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

If the charge does not appear in your order history through the following website, it means that the purchase may be from another account

https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

Log in here and locate the “Transactions” section.

https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments

In that section you will find the “Investigate” button, click on it and enter the data requested to track the payment, it will give you an indication of the account from which it comes from.

If the payment is not registered in the system or appears associated with an account that you do not know, you must immediately report it to your bank, it is possible that your data is compromised.

that would be pending charges

There is nothing they can do until they go thru

You havd to contact your bank about it

All you can do is contact billing depart as it is their power

For future reference goto commerce.microsoft.com and sign in with the said account

That will show pending charges and current payments methods
