    Xbox live has been going down repeatedly lately and the issue needs to be fixed. As a loyal customer to Microsoft products I expect the service to work when I want to use it. I am a casual avid gamer; meaning I use Xbox live in my spare time after work,
    when my daughter is sleeping, and I don't have school work. I understand the issue with the DDoS attacks of late but that is not excuse in my opinion. DDoS attacks are not a new issue and I am not educated about how to exactly prevent one. I do know ONE thing
    though. I pay money for Xbox live, netflix, and EA access. I convinced a coworker of mine to jump on the band wagon for this completely unreliable service. Not to mention Halo: MCC. I got the game over a month after release, I've only made it into 3 multiplayer
    matches. I know friends who bought their kids an Xbox on Christmas and assumed they had a faulty product. I heard of one person who even returned it. Whoever reads this probably won't do a thing but at least add this message to the pile of complaints your
    already getting. I pay money for a product I can't use reliably. You need to portray that about your service more openingly if this SHOULD be expected of the consumer prior to purchasing the product or you need to make it right. Xbox live and Halo--they don't
    work. Seriously? I want some sort of refund.

    I am having this same issue, ugh, and its extremely aggravating. This better be fixed by the time the regular season starts. Though I would really like to think that it won't take another week to solve the issue.

    I totally agree with all of this I've been loyally subscribed for over ten years and this is ridiculous!!! I'm contemplating switching consoles or going PC if this is not resolved soon. And I think that we all need to be compensated in some way for this
    extreme, infuriating, inconvenience. Xbox is making more than enough money and should have the skills and technology to resolve this right away. I'm really starting to doubt you guys.

  5. Yeah, I just don't get the company having ongoing issues and not at least putting out some sort of decent communication with their customer base. I work at a customs brokerage company...things go wrong a lot, but we HAVE to keep our customers in the loop.
    All we get is some very vague status updates assuring us you guys are looking at it. Once in a while that is fine, but at this point let's hear it point blank. What happens if a certain individual only has an xbox one as their source for say netflix? You are
    forcing the consumer to make a serious consideration about an alternative product because the one you are offering is not working, not offering any source of compensation for the money lost to the consumer (netflix/xbox live/ea access/ amazon prime) and no
    CLEAR solution or timetable. I'm aggravated I get little free time and I pay money to have moments where I can be a kid and relax for an hour or so throughout the night after my daughter is asleep. You guys can't pull off something that the consumer sees as
    simple.

  6. I myself probly spend about 5000$ a year on Xbox between all the movies and games I buy and I have had a steady account for over 10 years. Even if they fix this it won't makeup for the countless hours I've spent trying to join games and chats with friends
    just to get kicked off or timed out with a *** unknown error message. This is unacceptable and everybody that is having this problem needs to speak up and get this *** taken care of!!!

    I agree I spent about 20 hours troubleshooting my machine since NYE! At my states Minimum Wage it cost me more than $180. This doesn't factor in the AGGRAVATION it caused me. Not a peep from MS saying sorry, Not a peep on how to fix it, not a peep with
    any communication! I wanted a PS4 but the $100 trade in on my first Gen xbox 360 kept me on the MS path. Im still in the hole.

    it's virtually impossible to build out sufficient infrastructure to scale in response to large DDoS attacks. All web based infrastructures are vulnerable to DDoS and there are a few ways of dealing with small attacks. The group responsible for the holiday
    attack released a large attack that took down 2 of the largest web based services in the world with such a scale that it took a few hours each time for xbox to recover from and a few days for psn to deal with. I have both X1 and PS4 and I could not log into
    psn for 3 days where I could get back on xbl within an few hours (with a couple of intermittent issues granted). The scale of these attacks were so large, no infrastructure, civilian or governmental could have coped with it. It's like trying to fit a million
    cars on a single track road all at once with zero control on the traffic flow.

    I think xbox handled the situation quite well considering. Fair enough it was annoying that I couldn't get on games like destiny but I have plenty of single player campaign games to get on with.
