    Unacceptable all the way around...

Okay, so I dropped about $700 bucks on a new Xbox one and games on September 25th. I usually try not to buy anything when it first comes out to let bugs get worked out. Too bad Microsoft cannot be bothered to actually work the bugs out. Because I bought
a lemon. Within minutes of finishing its updates and trying to put a game in it, I found out I had a dud. after a few quick net searches, I knew it for fact. So being a good little consumer, I make arrangements to ship it to Microsoft, and drop it off to a
Fedex shop. They got it within two days, fixed it within three. I was told October 5th, it had shipped. But after a few more net searches, I've found that Microsoft has this shady little habit of saying its shipped, when it hasn't.

NONE of this is acceptable. I spent a substantial amount of money on a lemon, that Microsoft went above and beyond to make sure they got back quickly. They then drag their feet to get it back to me, the rightful owner. They make no apologies about the faulty
device I purchased in the first place, they make no apologies for any delay in me getting the device back. They make no effort in expediting the device back to me. Is this what they call customer support? Because customer support is supposed to go above simply
honoring a warranty. It is about resolving the situation to the satisfaction of the consumer who was wronged by your product. It is about communicating truthfully with the consumer, and not misleading them about shipping. It is about fessing up when you put
a faulty product out and apologizing for it.

As it stands, I'm siting here with an empty space on my shelf with cables poking out. Games I cannot play, fury building over the whole thing, and nary an apology or any effort from Microsoft other than to honor the warranty in the barest of terms. On their
    own time schedule.

If Microsoft thinks this will inspire me to buy ANY more of their products, they are utterly mistaken. I will gladly pay twice as much for any product that has ANYTHING to do whatsoever with Microsoft, rather than force myself to deal with a complete lack of
customer service, or worse, a lack of respect for me as a consumer.

    :)

my power supply has broken within 7 months of me purchasing it. I was told that it "happens" and that I would have to pay $30 to get a new one. even though there product broke through routine usage. It is ridiculous to think that after how much money they
charge for the system in the first place that they cant even guarantee the "accessories" that come with it to last more than 3 months. (that's how long the warrantee is). I would have a hard time recommending this product to any of my friends or family after

  5. Technically the product has been shipped, but the Xbox console gets sent to Mexico and has to pass through customs before it is received by Fedex in the United States, which is why you wont have any access to a tracking number until Fedex has possession
of it IN THE UNITED STATES (Fedex does not have it yet). It's a crummy situation and I'm in the exact same boat as you. I shipped mine out on September 27th, received an email that the Xbox has been shipped back to me this past Monday, but no information
    on the tracking number.

Don't be mad at customer service because they do what they're told by upper management. They can't expedite anything for you because they cannot control the time frame for which the Xbox will be processed and moved through the border. Microsoft honored
the warranty and fixed your Xbox, they are not obligated to expedite anything or do anything else for you. If you wanted such quick service, you should have made the down payment to have an Xbox sent to you immediately instead of waiting for yours to be received
at their service center (You have had a new one in a matter of days). I understand fronting another $400 for a week on top of the $700 spent is not something most people would want to do, but the option is available.

They resolved your situation, you're just being extremely impatient which is understandable, but lets be real, this will all fade away within a week when you get your console back. It happens and it sucks, but nothing you can do about it lol, just gotta
    wait.

  6. Of course I'm being "extremely impatient." I paid handsomely for a piece of hardware that I could not use because it was broken out of the box. So right now the only thing I paid for is the right to be extremely impatient. Because they are essentially holding
my property and I have no access to it. I cannot help they choose cheap labor and a delayed supply line over customer service. Bully on them.

I'm glad you have such a cavalier attitude about whats yours and your money. I however am not that cavalier about whats mine, or my money. Their so called "Advanced option" isn't financially viable for most consumers, especially consumers who just shelled
out what I paid to own the freaking lemon to begin with.

But as far as resolving the issue, they have resolved NOTHING until that Xbox is sitting in my room, plugged into my TV and WORKING. The customer service points ticker is ticking, and they are loosing points every time they drop the ball.

I will say that accepting, cavalier, "it is what it is" attitudes like yours are why companies like microsoft feel they can get away with *** poor service and production. Because they know there are chumps at every turn who will take it in stride, go with
the flow, and just take it on the chin. But then there are consumers who refuse to accept the status quo, and who are willing to get angry and stay angry until things change or get better.

I will say this, while writing this, I checked on my Xbox's status, and its now got a tracking number and has crossed the border, several days in advance of the estimated arrival date of the 18th. Did me raising a ruckus on here get it expedited? Maybe.
Hard to say. But the squeaky wheel gets the oil, and the chumps take it on the chin.

    Fallout 4 Keeps Crashing

Iv given up on all hopes of these issues being resolved, Bethesda and Microsoft both know about it but won't do anything about it. It's practically criminal since there selling a defective product. All they suggests are options that don't work or have a temporary fix for the basic ****, the fact the main problems exist with no way around it is completely unacceptable
