Unable to watch trailers in the xbox app

This started happening a short wile after I had gotten my new PC. But everytime I click on a game in the xbox app to watch a trailer it just shows me a black square with a very sad face smily. I have not been able to find a reason to why this happens or a way to fix it.

One day it randomly worked and it showed the trailers again, but the day after it was back to the sad face.

Does anyone know a solution to my problem?

Edit: I randomly stumbled upon why its happening by joining a discord call.
I have a pair of speakers that I normally use whenever I'm not talking to friends or playing games where I need to actually have a surround system. Whenever the speakers are the primary sound system I am unable to play the trailers. It just give me that sad face. But if I change it to be my headphones it works perfectly.

So this question turned into something completely different that I'm now trying to find a solution to. My theory is that there is something with the soundcard on my motherboard that seems to be messing things up. Could this be it and if that is the case, how can it be fixed?

I've done some research and honestly found no viable answers for you. Though I did have a similar experience and the issue for me was discord. My game would crash due to sound errors and it was because of two things. A sound app that came with my mother board that I've never used or seen before (ROG) and discord. I found that if I opened discord first, depending on your settings it messes with your audio and microphone settings at start up - so I no longer have it set to start up. Also deleting that app also helped.

So, I would check if there any extra programs that may have to do with sound settings and here are some links to other threads similar to "sound not working on particular apps":

MS has no control over the Netflix app. All changes are made by Netflix themselves. So complaining here on the Xbox community forums, will get you absolutley no where.

And whether or not removing movie trailers was an MS call or not, who really cares. They are movie trailers/ Considering you could watch the same exact movie trailers on the youtube app through Xbox, BEFORE Xbox had the trailers on their video service, just
makes it all asinine.

After watching the last trailer, I watched I thought the game was awesome. After watching this trailer...it still is.

It didnt say anything about any gamerpicture/theme. It said watch the trailer to enter. So watch the trailer if you want to enter. then blammo, once you've watched the trailer, you'll be entered.
