    Unable to use Xbox Insider app.


    I recently signed up to the Sea of Thieves Alpha testing program via the developers website.

    Today I recieved an email informing me I had been invited to take part in alpha testing during the night of the 22nd of April, and to participate I would need to download the Xbox Insider App and download the Sea of Thieves Alpha via the Insider app.

    I downloaded the Insider app, and upon installation opened the app to see what was what.

    I get the typical xbox style loading cursor in the middle of my screen for around 4 seconds. Grey error message page then appears with a large Orange symbol with the text "You are not able to join the Xbox insider program because of your past behaviour.",
    with only the option to 'Close' the error message. I click close, message instantly reappears, only way to remove is to use the home button and then recent apps to force close the Insider App with the 'Quit' option.

    I have previously had enforcement action against my account, a communications ban, but despite this I still have the green 'Good' reputation status.

    I contacted a customer service agent using the Live chat, they didn't seem to know themselves why I am not able to use the app if I have a 'Good' xbox reputation, asked me to install app, didn't work.... asked me to remove my account, hard reset xbox, sign
    back in and try again.... didn't work.

    After this they didn't know what to suggest and even implied I might never be able to use the insider program but as mentioned, wasn't quite sure why.

    Anyone have an answer as to why I cannot use an app marketed as being able to be used by anyone? and why my services are being resctricted despite having been already punished for my offense?

    I feel it is outrageous that I cannot use the full services that I pay full membership costs for, on a gamer profile that I have spent thousands of my hard earned money on various games and apps on the market place, to seemingly be in a position where my
    only posibility for redemption would be to create an entire new profile and lose my entire save data and games catologue.

    Do any moderators have an actual answer as to whether I will ever be able to use this service?

    Any information or help regarding this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Xbox Insider Hub denied access "You must be over 18" message

    I am unable to access the Xbox Insider Hub app due to an error message being displayed saying "Sorry, you need to be at least 18 to join the Xbox Insider program", where my Microsoft account age is set to 21. I wish to access the App but have been unable
    to even though through support I have determined that my account is most likely eligible for the Xbox Insider preview program.

    Can't use Xbox insider program b/c of past suspensions

    I'm unable to use the Xbox insider program after getting an invite to a technical test alpha. It says I can't open the app because of past behaviors, I was redirected here by Microsoft support to see if my past suspensions could be wiped in order for me

    Xbox Insider program    ? If your console is enrolled in the Xbox Insider program, we recommend submitting feedback through the

    Xbox Insider Hub app     and Xbox Insider subreddit. Since the soft factory reset was unable to resolve the issue, we suggest completing a

    full factory reset    . This will remove all games, applications and profiles from the console. Therefore, any corrupted data that may be affecting the Xbox store will be removed. Be sure to let us know the results!

    Thanks again for updating us with your replies. Since you're in the Preview Program, it would be best to reach out to the Xbox Insiders over on the reddit page. https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxinsiders/

    Alternatively, you can try unenrolling from the Preview Program and then try the update. Being a member of the program would mean that the traditional troubleshooting likely won't work as intended. It would also be worth your while to report the issues you're
    experiencing through the Insiders Hub app on a PC since you are unable to get to it on the console at this time. The support article entitled Get the Xbox
    Insider Hub app     has all the steps available on how to proceed with unenrolling if you wish and about reporting via the Insiders Hub.

    Hope this helps you out a bit more and please let us know the results!
