Unable to use Xbox app and games in Windows 10

Hi Folks,

Wasn't sure where to reach or how to start - all of a sudden I was not able to launch Xbox games in Windows 10. I have a couple of games via Xbox - Forza 5, Avengers and Jedi - Fallen Order.

Xbox App launches to a blank black screen with nothing in it; once launched I am not able to close it. But then if you wait several mins, it some time launches with the full UI and stuff.

Now, when I try to launch Forza 5 or Avengers nothing happens , and the below is what I see after several mins,

Jedi - Fallen Order WORKS because it is done through EA Play.

Now, assuming this was an issue with the installed apps, I tried to finally get the Xbox app moving (after several mins) and install a new game, and it was stuck forever here, without providing any options. Unable to install any games via Xbox app.

When I check for MicrosoftStore for Updates, it get stuck here and nothing happens

I am lost now, and I know something is not right, and I do not know what it is and how or where to start. Any help in getting this fixed would be really really nice.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are unable to install the Xbox (Beta) App due to your computer being unable to update Windows. We recommend

manually checking for Windows 10 updates. The
Xbox (Beta) App needs to have the latest version of Windows 10 in order to be successfully installed. Be sure to let us know the results

Thank you @Lucas Lauer for your prompt response.

I was able to complete all steps above, and I definitely see an IMPROVEMENT in how XBox and MS Store apps react and function. Which is really nice.

I did some cleaning up as well, so here is what I have in Xbox app now,

I was able to launch MS Solitaire and Fallen Order, but FH 5 continues to FAIL with no response.

So, I wanted to see if I can install and play some other game, and attempted to download Sniper Elite 5 and it errors out during Preparation phase itself, and does not start Download.

You don't need to save the ISO content on USB. Just download the ISO and open it (or the setup.exe). It will open the Windows installation or repair tool. Select upgrade > Download from the cloud > Keep games and apps.

Can you share more on what I should do to restore OS - I have the Media Creation thing downloaded, and I have created a USB thing as well.
