unable to use the stream feature on xbox companion app on pc anymore

i cannot find anything dealling with the issue of it wont work anymore

i used to use it to do videos for youtube since i do not have a capture card

i been using this since i had my computer just now i cant get it to even register my computer or xbox

when i do test stream for pc it says this

check to see if your up to date on your computer and console

and thats it nothing else and it been like this for 2 weeks now

i have given up trying all the help desks and other tutorials around it since their like 3/4 years old or so

any help would be great

the new xbox (Beta) app does not have the streaming feature. You need to keep using the companion app until the streaming feature is added to the new app.

First off, Smartglass is no longer supported. You have the Xbox Console Companion, and the Xbox app on PC. To stream to your PC, you will first need to turn on game streaming in Devices & connections Remote features in the Settings. Once you have done
that, start the Xbox console companion, then make sure you are on the same network as the Xbox, sign in with the same Xbox account that is on the console, and select the connection icon on the left of the app, and then select the console that is connected,
and select stream. You should now be streaming your console to your PC.

Yes this is possible, I stream like this all the time.

There are two ways to do this first is if you bought an external capture device.

Second way is how I do it, you can use the Xbox Companion app on your PC to remote play your Xbox, then use a streaming app on your pc to stream the Xbox Companion app. Just note that you may want to join party chats via the Xbox companion app instead of
on your console and also continue to play via controller on your Xbox to not experience delays playing via the pc app.

The best way to be to use your Xbox Companion app on your PC to stream your screen so you can see what you're doing. Using the stream option it'll act as your monitor/TV and you can factory reset your Xbox. just plug both PC and Xbox into a wired connection
on your network. and connect Via the Xbox Companion App on PC.
