You may have lost your internet connection while the update was verifying.

Turn off the console and reset the power supply by removing the console power cable for a few minutes while you power cycle your network hardware.

Wait until your network is back up (green lights), restore power to the console and turn it on.

It should resume where it left off, verify, auto restart and apply the update and return you to the Home screen.

Note the auto restart takes a few minutes, so be patient while that happens.

You may want to try an offline update. This will require
internet on a PC but not on the console for the update as it will be on a USB.

Well let's see today I sat on the phone for over 2 hours with Microsoft for my Xbox One. I have been unable to play any of my downloaded games or unable to have my profile read my licensing agreements to the games I have downloaded after I had an update
2 days ago also my Xbox says that it is not registered to my account which it is but can someone please help me this is frustrating

No the only way to update the Xbox One is to conect it to xbox live. The xbox is unable to do anything with out it
