Unable to Update Xbox 360

I have returned from about a month of inactivity to see that an update is available. However; when I try to update, I get the following error message:

Update Failed. Can't process the update. If the problem persists, go to
www.xbox.com/support. Status Code: 416B-4174-1380-0915-C000-0032

I have gone through and tried almost everything I've seen on the forums: retried installing from Xbox Live, all the files wouldn't copy over to a USB or CD, I've cleared the cache, unhooked all USB storage devices, Ethernet straight to the modem, and reformatted
the hard drive. I'm running out of things I can think of to do. I've seen a few people say they've cleared it up after redownloading their gamer profile, unfortunately I don't get that far, it tries to update before I can download my profile.

Bit of a bummer that xbox release an update that has broken so many consoles. Nice money making opportunity.

If I wanted to backup my saved games, do I pop in a USB stick, prepare it for storage and then copy game data over?

After trying all the troubleshooting tips again I think I've found the problem. When I download the USB or CD install files I cannot move or copy the files, they are corrupt. Is there a different download site? Can anyone tell me which games would have
the latest update on them? Thanks!
