Unable to update No Man’s Sky to Frontiers on Windows 10

If there is an update available for the game it will show up or it will be available immediately. For now, kindly reset your Microsoft Store by typing in "WsReset" then run as administrator. Wait for the Microsoft Store App to launch to ensure that it's successful then restart your PC.

With issues like these, the first thing I would suggest is to sign out of the Microsoft Store. Click your Profile picture at the top right, click your account then sign out. After that, please attempt the following methods one by one to see if one of them will solve the problem.

Delete the Windows Store cache:

• Press Windows key or open Windows Start, then type wsreset in the search bar
  
• Right-click on wsreset.exe and select Run as Administrator
  
• This will clean the Windows Store cache. Make sure you don’t press anything while the command prompt is working.
  
• Windows Store will open when it’s been reset and you should restart your PC.
  

Clear the Microsoft Store cache:

1. Press the 'Windows + r' keys and type 'wsreset.exe' (without the quotes)
2. An command prompt window opens and then closes after approximately 10 seconds.
3. The Microsoft Store then opens automatically.

To reset it:

1. Open the settings by pressing the Windows + i keys
2. Go to Apps> Applications and features.
3. Select the Microsoft Store application and then click Advanced Options.
4. Click the Reset button.
5. Confirm the reset by clicking on Reset again.

Run troubleshooter:

1. Open Settings again (Windows + i)
2. Go to Update & Security> Troubleshooting.
3. Select Windows Store Applications and then click the Run Troubleshooter button.
4. The utility will launch and check for problems that are preventing the Microsoft Store from functioning properly. If it detects anomalies, follow its recommendations.
5. When the problems are resolved, close the utility.

Reinstall Microsoft Store:

1.Open Windows PowerShell as administrator. To do this, right click on the start button and click on 'Windows Shell (admin)'
2. To reinstall the Microsoft Store app, enter the following command (you can copy and paste:
Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register '$ ($ _. InstallLocation) \\ AppXManifest.xml'}

I dont have a solution to your specific problem. However, what I do is, I take screenshots (for all game, not just this game) using the Xbox Game Bar.

1. Go to photo mode. Instead of taking photo from the game menu, just take the screenshot with Xbox Game Bar (Windows + G).

Easy, and works with every game on your computer.

What am I looking for? All I see are folders with long filenames containing numbers and letters and a containers.index file, inside the folders are files that I need to choose an app to open, each folder contains files that also have names like the folder and one file that is called container.[random number].
