Unable to update Halo MCC

Hi people,

Just bought the Halo MCC for my Xbox one and can't seem to get it to work.

Originally was not able to install / update the game so i did an offline install from disk (Error Installing Xbox One Game).

Now the game is installed, but need to update in order to play. Game gets to three percent update in my queue then stops with error 0x87e0000f.

I've searched that code at xbox.com/error help and followed the provided steps, but still the same issue.

Anybody got any idea what to try now?

343 have done a really good job with the Halo MCC update.

To those having install issues, do as other have said, make sure to update halo mcc and make sure you have the disc in when installing, the campaign resides under the halo 3 campaign in halo mcc.

I am sorry you're experiencing this, I will try my best to help!

When downloading, please make sure you have enough space for the game update. You can check this by going to Dashboard > My Games & Apps and on the left it should show how much you have free and how much you've used.

If you have used about 90% or more I would suggest seeing how much the update needs. I would also suggest you're connected to Xbox Live (with a wired connection) as that can be the best way to get a lot of connectivity to your console.

I have ~660 GB free, and the download is ~60 GB. So there is definitely enough space.

There was no difference using a cable rather than my WiFi.

 

OK, I would suggest doing a Power Cycle.

To perform a Power Cycle visit this page:
support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

This will not remove any data, games, apps or profiles on your console except do a "refresh" to the console that can probably fix the issue.

OK. Can you please try clearing your Xbox One console cache by following these steps:

1. Press and hold the power button on the front of the console until it powers down completely.
   
2. Unplug the power cable from the back of the console so that the power brick is not connected to the console.
   
3. Press the power button on the console three or four times. This will ensure that any remaining power in the battery is drained, clearing the cache on the console.
   
4. Plug the power cable back into the console.
5. Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.
6. Turn on the console using the power button.

Once you've done that and still doesn't work please try troubleshooting your network connection by visiting:

Network Settings on Xbox One and clicking "Column three: Troubleshooting"

From the link you posted it looks like you're from Australia. For some reason, some Australian users are having trouble with downloads. Some have fixed it by changing their DNS server. Here is the original post:

seems like those steps probably should have solved it, thread even mentions an ISP that I'm with. unfortunately no luck

 

I would contact your ISP and see if they have any other advice as it seems to be an issue with them
