Unable to type using wireless keyboard (Logitech mk270) now can't use controller for typing

Hi - my lad had the 'genius' idea of using his wireless keyboard and mouse (Logitech mk270) for his Xbox one. It seems to be throwing a wobbly now and we can't see where to change it or what to do. He can't use the controller for the keyboard now, (whether
the usb dongle is connected or not), can't make purchases in the store, and if he types with the keyboard, he says it is now in Spanish (not sure on that one, but it has accents above the vowels?) Any help greatly appreciated thanks

External wireless keyboard functionality

I purchased a Logitech USB wireless keyboard, model K400, for $30.

With the unifying dongle plugged into the Xbox1 the keyboard works great everywhere you'd want to type instead of typing with the standard game controller.

This keyboard has a mouse-pad (touch-membrane and mouse buttons) similar to that found on most laptops, in place of where the numeric keypad would be.

PLEASE ADD a driver for this keyboard so the mouse-pad will work instead of having to go back to the controller when mouse functions are desired.

It would be awesome if beyond the mouse-pad, other functions or special keys on the keyboard functioned as well.
