Unable To Switch Sticks

Hello, I use a regular controller in copilot mode with the Xbox Adaptive Controller. I am right handed and have therefore always used the "Swap Sticks" mapping so the right stick is the primary stick. I've been using it this way beautifully for the last
year and a half. However, tonight I cannot get the sticks to swap. I go to Settings > Devices & Streaming> Accessories and go to the controller in question and select
Configure. I edit the profile for the controller making sure the Swap Sticks box is checked but after I save the changes, the sticks have not been swapped. I have tried restarting the system as well as signing in and out of my profile. Any
suggestions?

Solved it. I'm not sure the exact sequence that fixed it but it involved turning copilot off and back on again a couple times

Same issue. I bought a surface go device and was going to stick to windows for all my computing needs but i am unable to buy any app exclusive to microsoft store. I guess I should have never switched over from iOS / android tablets.

If you have decent tools skills and access to solder and a soldering iron, those analog stick switches can be replaced. The switches can be purchased on e-bay and look to google for instructional videos. I have one 360 controller that I've replaced the
analog stick switches on three times!

Has anybody tried swapping the sticks in the app and switching back?

I don't think that's the problem the left stick feels much looser than the right stick whenever I try to switch between the different grips .
