Unable to switch email addresses for my XBox Live account

I'd followed the instructions and received an error message "Sorry, we can't change your Microsoft account right now". From reading, this is normally associated with a 30 day wait between switches. However, I've never switched it before. I'm getting ready
to move to Windows Phone and want to congregate all of my associated MS services under one account. How can I move my XBox Live account now?

A question I have about Xbox Live

A question I have is when I sign in on my Xbox 360 to my Xbox Live account in the top right corner it shows your emblem along with a rotation of my gamertag name, achievement numbers, money I have on my account, and my email address linked to the account. But for some reason it doesn't show my email address when it's rotating through and instead just shows blank nothing until the next thing comes up in the rotation when it should show my email address in the rotation.

How to Change your Xbox LIVE account information

Overview

It is possible to change information associated with your Xbox LIVE account like your name, address, phone number or email address.

Note: You cannot change the country that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have moved to another country and you would like to access Xbox LIVE from there, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new location.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on Xbox.com

1) Go to My Account and Sign In with your Microsoft Account. (This is the email and password that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account).

2) Make the changes you want to your billings account information and then click Save.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on your console.

1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

2) Proceed to Settings, and then select Account.

3) Select Your Information, and then go to Billing Information.

4) Sign In with your Microsoft account password.

5) Change your billing account information and then click Done.

In case you want to change the billing name on your Xbox LIVE account, go to Xbox.com

Hello Jimmy. How old is the Gamertag? If the gamertag has been downloaded from Xbox LIVE in less then 30 days, it will also give you that error: Sorry, we can't change your Microsoft account right now. If it is older then 30 days, please reach out to

The gamertag is 6 years old. The last time it was donwloaded was when I set it up on my XBox One, on November 22.

Hey Kiwians, I just want to point out that you are unable to transfer saved data between accounts by design; that is to say you will not be able to share save files between two different accounts. To change an email on an account to an email from another
account, you will need to switch the desired email address to a different email address, and then change the desired' Gamertag's email to the desired email (all of which will require

I'm afraid that since somebody else owns the email address, the xbox live account is considered theirs, the only option would be to contact the owner of the email address and get them to help and move the Xbox Live Account to a different Microsoft account,

You will need the email and password to do those steps, which is why the owner of the email address (Microsoft Account) is needed to assist

LOL, Yes i did, and my Live ID Email is the same email as my Xbox Email, and I have no SPAM filters on that email address, it is my own email account, so I switched off spam filtering ages ago.
