Unable to spend Xbox pre paid cards

Hi all

I've just added 2 x £50 pre paid cards to my Xbox one account , the funds went through fine and show on available credit.

When I try to buy anything I got the following message

"You have reached the limit of how much you can spend in the xbox store today"

I have tried the following day but still get the same error , has anyone had this before ?

Windows Gift card available on xbox live ?

Yes, they work just like the pre-paid Xbox currency cards, in that they add money to your Microsoft Account, which you can then spend from an Xbox.

Auto renewal despite using pre paid card.

So I tried to delete my debit card information, which I used for game transactions, from my Xbox Live account today and it told me that I was unable to because my account was set up to auto renew my subscription with my debit card.

Yet I used a pre-paid card as a payment option for Xbox Live.

So why is auto renew on? This is most annoying because now I have to spend money phoning Microsoft support to remove the auto renewal, which I wanted to avoid in the first place by paying with a pre paid card.

On top of that it states on support page that I cannot remove payment options until the subscription runs out, despite paying with a pre-paid card!

Microsoft are you having a laugh or what? :/

UPDATE YOUR BILLING INFO! I redeemed to Pre Paid Cards and was having the same difficulty.

If you're unable to purchase it using the pre-paid card online... then taking it to a store and using the pre-paid card to outright buy a gift card code could be your best bet. I know that defeats the purpose of having gotten the pre-paid Visa in the first
place if you bought it in the intention to use it to put money on your Xbox account... however, if you were gifted it that'd be your best bet past getting in touch with a support person.

The 2 year plan is not a refurbished console, you will be getting a new console out of the box, but it is $14.99 a month you will be paying and you can't use pre-paid codes till the contract has ended. In other words by the end of the 2 year contract you
will be spending the same amount as if you were going to by the Xbox 360 full price right now and pay the 2 years for $5 each month if you buy the year pre-paid card. also they do lower the prices for pre-paid cards every now and then, like Best Buy has year
pre-paid card for $35 right now and ends Feb. 2nd
