Unable to sign into Xbox 360 with Family Accounts

I can sign into my XBox 360 with my own account perfectly fine, but have recently set-up some family accounts but cannot sign in with those. Depending on the account I get either “Your parent’s Microsoft account isn’t valid. Your parent needs to choose
a different account to manage your Xbox profile.” or "Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Code: 8015D000"

Accessing these same account via the web or Minecraft PE works fine.

I have worked through this with Microsoft Support who couldn't resolve it and said they would escalate to "Accounts Specialists" and get back to me ... they never did and now I son't seem to be able to get to the chat to them now; the chat window always
errors.

Has anyone seen this problem before and be able to suggest some solutions?

Trying to add my family member to XBox Live Gold Account

Hi, we can log into her account from Windows Live on a PC, so we know we have the correct account and password - but I am unable to link her account to my XBox LIve Gold Family account The error message I get is: "Can't sign in with your Microsoft account.
Please try again."

Signing into an Xbox One account

So I can't sign into an Xbox live account that was made when I set up my Xbox One. I need to sign into it to change a family setting with it. I cant find a way to sign into the account anywhere on my Xbox.

Anyone know how to?

Turns out the child accounts had somehow become orphaned from the parent account, and due to the 'old' 360 infrastructure not being properly integrated with the 'new' systems they couldn't be reattached (not a problem with the Xbox One, I am told)

It was clear that Microsoft tech Support knew little about supporting the 360. In the end I had to create new child accounts and use those instead; by shuffling email address could carry on using those, however lost the GamerTags.

yes i was signed into my parents account and my child account was signed out and i clicked family settings and clicked my account in the family settings and tryed to change the privacy settings on my xbox 360 but it didnt work and i all ready tryed on my
computer.

Note: i did this on my xbox.

I have gone to a family member's account (also an adult), and successfully changed the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety settings. I then immediately signed out of their account and back into mine, and was still unable to change my own settings.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I am unable to make this my home xbox because my family is using the accounts that I have on my xbox onto theirs so their xbox is the home xbox. And yes I'm trying to access the game that the other signed-in account owns.

Hey Maj Tom 360! Depending on when the renewal date for the family pack, you may the option to renew. It's not guaranteed that you will be able to renew the family gold.

Any accounts on the family gold pack will have to a free/silver account if the family gold pack is unable to renew on the primary account (the account that purchased the family gold pack). All the accounts will have to purchase gold or redeem a prepaid gold
code on the account.
