Unable to Sign into the Xbox Console Companion Error (0x409) 0x80070002

Did all these steps as previously suggested byLunaLight7 Xbox Ambassador on July 25, 2019

Here are more troubleshooting steps on how to resolve Xbox app error (0x409) 0x80070002:

Solution 1: Check for updates

Refer to the following links for the steps on how to check if there are updates available for the app and the Windows 10 PC:

Solution 2: Reset the app from the Settings menu

This can help resolve corrupted app data.

1. Click Start, then Settings.

2. Select System.

3. Choose Apps & features.

4. Find the app, then click Advanced options.

5. Click Reset.

6. Click Reset again to confirm.

7. Restart your device so that the changes will take effect. Sign in to the app and check if the same issue occurs.

Solution 3: Make sure that the Xbox app is connected to the Internet

1. On your PC, launch the Xbox app.

2. Select Settings > Network.

3. Under Network status, make sure Internet connection says Connected.

and still having the same issue. Issue was never resolved and the original issue was closed by without resolving my issue by:

Ok. So the fact it says it cannot find a file gives me an idea. Some of the files might be missing. So were going to delete the current packages and re-install them. Try the following:

1. At desktop type “power shell” and right click the result, run as admin.

2. In the command prompt enter the following: (2 separate entries)

Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage

Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

3. After that is done restart your computer.

4. Repeat step 1.

5. Enter the following: (all as 1 entry)

(There is a space after “register”)

Darn ok. In that second screenshot try switching Xbox auth manager and xbox networking to manual. (Right click and propeties) let me know if that works I have one other idea if not.

Already done that also,

still didn't resolve issue..

Even able to login into another PC, Tablet, Phone, and web portal with no issues.

Only 1 PC with issue using Xbox Companion..
