Unable to sign into other accounts on Xbox app

I did find a second part to this (which might have been the original cause).

Once in I was in, I was unable to sign in, long story short I have multiple Microsoft accounts registered and had accidently set my non regular account to always sign in. Each time I opened the app it was in conflict.

To fix this, I went into Accounts > Email & Accounts > and removed the accounts from under "Accounts used by other apps". Opened up the affected apps again (xbox app in my case) and it prompted Sign in in and it has worked fine ever since.

Still no luck with the problem, deleted those files but the other account is still there and did the in-place upgrade but no luck with that. when i try to sign in with the 'other' account it just signs me into my normal account. looks like something is seriously wrong with my account. i don't know if this will help but I'm able to launch the Minecraft launcher from the Xbox app and i can play Minecraft java and Minecraft windows but i am unable to play Minecraft dungeons and legends they get the same error message my other Xbox games get.

Hello! Thanks for your reply. Is this the only game that you're unable to play online? You can also select the Start button > Settings > Accounts , then find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select Remove. Then go back to the Xbox app and sign in with the Microsoft account you just removed that has game pass.

Hello Georges, thank you for replying to my question. Yes I have Windows 11 version 21H2. I unfortunately can't download the Xbox companion app due to the problem of being unable to sign into a Microsoft account on my computer. I am able to sign into my Microsoft account on the Xbox and Microsoft website its just the apps I have trouble signing in to.
