Unable to sign into my Xbox live profile

As soon as I turn my Xbox on I’m being prompted to sign in and link my Microsoft account, however after entering the code on my phone from my tv and being sent a one time code to my email and entering it, it will say that I’m signed into my Xbox and that I’m all set but then nothing actually happens on my tv screen and I’m still left with the prompt of needing to link my Microsoft account. And if I click the “use controller instead” option it just gives me a loading screen for 5 minutes and then finally crashes and I’m back to square one again. The only way I’ve been able to get around this and play online with my profile again is to completely reset my Xbox and set up the console again as if I had just bought it.

whats more, i can't even sign into a profile. i will test my network, it will connect to xbox live, then i will try and sign into my Live profile and it will say "unable to connect to xbox live"

I'm unable to sign in or download profile 6pm PST I was at the tower in Destiny. and signed out of Xbox live appeared on screen .

Just to clarify, this error happens to you often and the way you manage to solve it is to reset your Xbox to factory? And after that the error reappears?

Whenever I test my Xbox LIVE connection in the Network Settings, it shows I'm able to connect to LIVE. However, I am notified that I'm unable to connect to LIVE when I try to sign in to my profile. Are you having that same issue?

I'm having the same issue. My son has an xbox 360 with an offline profile. I'm trying to convert that to a live account. I tried signing up for the live account from the console and was unable to continue because of the age restriction. So I went online
and eventually figured out how to create a child live account (an unnecessarily cumbersome process). I then logged back into the console with my son's profile and tried to sign in to the live account. That just takes me back to the profiles screen. So I
logged into the profile again and tried to sign up for xbox live. I was able to complete the sign up process but received an error about the email address being associated with an existing account. So, does anyone know the exact steps I need to follow to
convert my under-13 son's offline profile to an xbox live profile. This really shouldn't be so difficult.
