It may be that that router is not compatible with supporting the xbox live service, if it is working on your old router then I suggest using that one as you will have no problems with it. If you do not want too use your old router for a certain reason
try refreshing the new one and/or unplugging the router for 30 seconds then reconnecting it too see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks for this. I will give the unplugging a go. Its nor possible to revert to the old router unfortunately...

when you use the old router are you connecting to the new ISP or the old ISP?

if you are connected to the new ISP using the old router then just use that.

if it connects you to the old ISP then it is either an issue with the protocols used by your new ISP, so your best bet is to contact them,

or it could be that you need to set up port forwarding on your new router.
