Unable to sign in to xbox for sudoku

One year later, none solution, unable to sign with Microsoft Sudoku and CAN sign with Microsoft Solitaire. Windows 10.

I have the exact same problem. I have uninstalled & reinstalled with no result. I can click on the green xbox button in the upper right hand corner of Sudoku and be signed into xbox without any problem. I can exit Sudoku, sign into xbox, and punch the
"play Sudoku" button, which initiates Sudoku, but Sudoku still says it cannot connect to xbox.

I have on a couple of occasions seen a message momentarily when I first initiate Sudoku that seems to imply that this is a new version of Sudoku and you don't have to sign into xbox to play it. But then I don't have any history
of my playing Sudoku over the past 4 years. The message disappears before I can study it. Is there a new version of Sudoku that is causing my problem?

There is currently some backend server issues with Sodoku for the past few days. You will just have to wait it out and keep trying periodically until the issue is resolved.

Several users have been also experiencing this issue with Bingo too.

I would also recommend you file a bug report; send me the short link so I can vote on it and bring it to the attention of the Windows engineers in my capacity as a Windows Insider MVP.

With these two apps, I get the message: "Sorry, we can't sign you in. Please sign in at Xbox.com, then start this app again."

And having done that, it still refuses to work. I have a tab opened of me signed into Xbox.com, I have the Xbox (companion?) app opened and signed in, and I even have Microsoft Solitaire open and signed into, because for some reason this one works. But Minesweeper
and Sudoku don't.

I've seen a few similar problems online, but their solutions didn't work for me, save for creating a new account and transferring things over, which I am just not willing to go through just to sign into a game.
