    Hello,

Last week I needed to reboot my Windows 10 machine and ever since I have not been able to log into the Xbox App. The only error message I get is the one in the attached picture. I have tried all the suggested options to fix it:

    • On your PC, go to Xbox.com and select Sign in. If there are problems with your account, the instructions will help you solve them. If you can’t go beyond the sign-in screen, select Forgot my password and follow the instructions.
    • If that didn’t work, select the Start button > Settings > Time & language. Under Date and time make sure the Set time automatically setting is turned on.
    • If none of those options work, select the Start button > Settings > Accounts, then find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select Remove. Then go back to the Xbox app and sign in with the Microsoft account you just removed.
(that last suggestion doesn't actually seem to work as if i remove the account from the list then reboot the machine, the Xbox app STILL remembers it...)

If I try to sign in with a different account, the pop up window to put the email/password never appears.

My Xbox App and Xbox Identity Provider App are both up to date as is my Windows 10.

I am using a machine that uses a separate work login but that has never caused an issue before.

    Help?

    -Allen

    :)

Unable to sign in to Xbox app on Windows 10. Message says:

We can't sign you into Xbox Live right now. Try again in a while.

If that doesn't work, we have a few ideas that might help fix the problem.

Unable to sign in to Xbox App on Windows 10 - No suggested solution fixes problem

    Hi FrankZeeTank25,

Having a corrupted app file is one of the main reasons why you're unable to sign in on the Xbox app. To help you resolve this concern, I recommend that you perform the troubleshooting steps below:

Step 1: Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps using the link below. This can help remove problems with an app from Microsoft Store.

Step 2: Delete Temporary files. This will help delete temporary files that have been stored on your computer.

    1. Click Start and click Settings.
    2. Select System.
    3. Select Storage.
    4. Select This PC.
    5. Click Temporary files.
    6. Choose Temporary files.
    7. Click Remove files.

Step 3: Reset Xbox app from Settings.

    1. Click Start and click Settings.
    2. Select System.
    3. Select Apps & features.
    4. Find the Xbox app and click Advanced options.
    5. Click Reset. Restart your device so that the changes can take effect. Launch the Xbox app.

Kindly update us with the results, so that we can assist you further.

  5. Hey,

So I tried all 3 of those steps, and all of those steps again on top of the original 3 suggested actions.

I cannot see a way to uninstall the xbox app in order to re-install it, and it has no repair option either, just the option to reset it.

What is weird is that even if I delete all the temporary data, and my account data, when I open it after rebooting my machine, it tries to auto login to my account like its still remembering it, which is failing to login on the app (weirdly I 'm also unable
to log into the store app as well), and if i choose the 'Not You?' option i can see that my account is back on the list of remembered accounts...which it shouldnt be as i just removed it with all the steps for troubleshooting.

  7. Just tried this and it doesn't appear to be uninstalling the Xbox App.

Unable to sign in to Xbox App on Windows 10 - No suggested solution fixes problem [IMG]

Should there be a confirmation in the Powershell that it has removed the app?

If I go to the Store after doing this and then search for the Xbox App it is still listed there as an app to launch rather than install (or even update). At which point i still have the login issues.

I have noticed that when I try to remove my microsoft account from the Email & app accounts settings, there is a process error as shown below:

Unable to sign in to Xbox App on Windows 10 - No suggested solution fixes problem [IMG]

If I click 'Close the Program, the account does disappear from the 'Accounts used by other apps' list, however if I click any of the menu options to the left of the windown, then go back to 'Email and app accounts' it re-appears. Confirming that it isn't
    removing it.

  9. Hello,

So I tried the suggested wsreset.exe fix, which looked like it did something as it took 10-20 seconds to complete and then the Store app was auto-loaded.

I then did the clean boot and tried to go through all the steps again with no success:

-Still cant sign into the Xbox App or Store

    - this still seems to do nothing:

Type the following command to uninstall Windows Store: Get-AppxPackage xboxapp | Remove-AppxPackage

    - If i try to remove the Microsoft account from my Email and App accounts and i still get the same error:

Unable to sign in to Xbox App on Windows 10 - No suggested solution fixes problem [IMG]
And clicking Manage rather than Remove looks like it tries to open a new window but this instantly closes.I have tried to track this error down in the Event Log
Viewer in my Administrative Tools and this looks like the correct error for the time i attempted to remove the MS account:

Unable to sign in to Xbox App on Windows 10 - No suggested solution fixes problem [IMG]

However I am not sure what this is or how to resolve it.
