Unable to sign in to XBox app error 0x406

I am unable to sign into the XBox app. Pressing sign in does nothing and underneath the button is the error:

We are unable to sign you in at the moment. Try again later. (0x406). Help appreciated.

Cannot Sign In on Xbox App

Hi,

I cannot sign in on the Windows 10 Xbox App! I have tried re-installing it. As soon as I open the app, I get this message:

'We are unable to sign you in at the moment. Try again later.'

The error code is 0x406.

It is 2018 and I have had this on my computer for a while, too

 

Same error since 2017 on my two computers no resolution.

 

You can try this powershell command but not 100% fix : Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
