Unable to sign in to Child Account

When I try to sign into my son’s child account, I get the following error code - 0x801901f4.

All other profiles sign in without any issues.

Error 83118853 where is yesterdays acknowledgement of the problem

Problem:

You see the following error and message when you try to sign in to Xbox Live using a child account:

Before you can sign in here, you'll need to sign in at Xbox.com.

An adult will also need to sign in so they can give permission.

Code: 83118853

This means that the parent account must provide permission for each associated child account (under age 13) before the child can access Xbox Live

Solution:

To resolve this issue, have the child account sign in to Xbox.com. Then, when prompted, the parent account associated with the child account should sign in to Xbox.com and give permission for the child account to sign in to Xbox Live.

If you keep experiencing the problem, contact Xbox Support.

Unable to sign in to account

I am unable to sign in to my account as I cannot receive the security code as both my email address and phone number used to set up the account are no longer in use. Please help

Where are you trying to sign in, on an Xbox console or on a Windows 10 PC or Xbox App?

I'd check to see if that Child account can log into other locations, so if the error is on the Console, check to see if they can log into an Xbox App or the website xbox.com If it's local to a single device, then I'd try to remove that account and re-add
it to the console https://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/add-remove-account-xbox-one

You might also want to check settings for their account at account.microsoft.com/family Screen time limits can be set and active hours, so it's possible those settings might be preventing them from logging in.

Let me know if those items don't help and provide some detail on what happened and we can try and troubleshoot further.

Are you on a child account? Child accounts are unable to purchase backwards compatible games due to restrictions on the store.

I went to that website and signed in but it took me to a Microsoft support website with how to change your child's Xbox privacy and online safety settings. There is a link on the website which takes us to another website in order to change the privacy settings
but it just opens the same Microsoft support website. And as for unlinking my account and signing in with a different Microsoft account it tells me it was unable to unlink the account and to check my internet connection.

My user is not a child account

Make sure you are not unable to play games with 18 restrictions because you are on a child account...if you are on one, resetting your xbox to factory settings wont fix it, you will sign back on and have the same issues.

Hi, is your account under parental controls ?

If that's the case then the parental account will need to sign in and change any restrictions on your account.

If that's not the case and your account is an adult account and you also have a child account signed in that has content restrictions set then those restrictions will also affect the adult account until the child account signs out.
