Unable to sign in or use the controller to bring up the settings menu

I would recommend resetting your gold account profile as the auto sign-in profile. Try this and let us know if this resolves it for you:

- Sign in to your gold account first, and once signed in..

- Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (middle) to bring up the menu.

- Scroll across to Settings

- Select Profile

- Select Sign In Preferences

- Set Profile Auto Sign In to On

At the main dashboard, press the large button in the middle of the controller to bring up the guide menu. If you are signed into an account or profile, press X and sign out. Once you are not signed in, choose the option to download account/gamertag. Put
in your credentials and let it download. Then you should be able to manage family options and such when logged in from the Settings -> Family Center menu.

Please test the following:

Open the Start menu and type "Control". This will bring up the Control Panel (or localized name for the Control Panel) in the search results.

In the Control Panel, type "Game" in the upper right search field and open the control panel for Game controllers.

Please check that the test tab reacts to the stick movements and button presses of your controller. Does every button and stick work as intended?

In the game, are you unable to use the controller in the game at all, or is it just that you can't change the button bindings in the game settings?

Press and hold the Xbox button on the controller to bring up the console shut down menu and press the menu button on the controller and hopefully it will turn of narrator.

Alternatively using the guide on the left go into the main settings page and use the option of Ease of Access at the bottom of the list to find where to turn it off.

Sorry to hear about the issue. Have you set up your Xbox One to automatically sign you in? Let's start by setting that up. Follow the steps below:

• Press the Menu button on your Xbox One controller and select 'Settings'.
  
• In the Settings menu, select 'Sign-in, security & passkey', which will be on the left side of the Settings menu.
  
• Select 'Instant sign-in' for your gamertag.
