Unable to Sign In - (0x406)

Hey,

So I'm having an issue logging in to the Xbox App for Windows. I have never used it before, and decided to have a go yesterday.

I downloaded the app, to then be faced with an error - (0x406) We were unable to sign you in at the moment. Try again later.

And try again later I did, several times, to no avail.

Google has said:

a: Press Windows key + X.

b: Then click PowerShell(Admin)

c: Now type the following command and hit enter

Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage

Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

After a restart (signing out and back in didn't work for me) I entered the following command (again in a powershell in admin):

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

This hasn't worked.

To give you some details of my set up. I am using a work laptop, with an Exchange account. I have added in my Microsoft Account.

Can anyone recommend anything, as the Xbox Support Chats don't seem to be helping.

Unable to sign in to XBox app error 0x406

I am unable to sign into the XBox app. Pressing sign in does nothing and underneath the button is the error:

We are unable to sign you in at the moment. Try again later. (0x406). Help appreciated.

Cannot Sign In on Xbox App

Hi,

I cannot sign in on the Windows 10 Xbox App! I have tried re-installing it. As soon as I open the app, I get this message:

'We are unable to sign you in at the moment. Try again later.'

The error code is 0x406.

I know this doesn't help much. But I just kept trying the app everyday, and it eventually worked.
