    Unable to set new xbox series x to home console


    Hello, I have a new xbox series x and when going to settings/preferences to set it to my home xbox it let's me check the box to make it my home xbox but then it spins the circle for about 30 seconds then just goes back to the box unchecked. No further message. It's not setting it as home system and I cannot play anything offline. Any help is appreciated. The console shows up on my account on Microsoft site fine.

    Clean your console's MAC and restart your internet devices.
    Network Settings> Advanced Settings> Alternate MAC address and Clear

    The reason why you are unable to set both your Series X and your son's Series S as "Home Xbox" at the same time is that Xbox limits the number of devices that can be designated as Home Xbox for a specific account. As per the policy, you can only set one Xbox console as the "Home Xbox" for each Xbox account.

    Do you have another Xbox console set as your home console in your account?

    Please, try these steps:

    1. Sign out of your account on your Xbox Series X.

    2. Go to the Microsoft account website and sign in with your account credentials.

    3. Under the "Devices" tab, locate your Xbox Series X and click on "Manage".

    4. Click on "Remove console" to remove your Xbox Series X from the list of devices associated with your account.

    5. On your Xbox Series X, sign into your account again and try setting it as the home Xbox.
