Unable to set home xbox

I have an issue where when I go to set it, the option takes a while to load the option, and after it loads and I check it, I don't get a prompt to set it, but it just loads again and unchecks the option. What issue am I having, and how do I fix it?

See the other threads about the same issue for more information. Essentially, it's a Microsoft issue and Microsoft are aware of it. A fix is in the works (apparently) so there's no point trying all the troubleshooting steps (which will just get frustrating), just wait for an update and know that it's not your fault!

I am having the same problem. I also cannot remove duplicate devices from my device list within my account. I am getting very frustrated, I cannot get any help from M$ and their damned support options keep forcing me to a I can't change my password page which forces a non-contact request via phone or chat.

HELP. ME.

You can also try this, Please perform a power cycle reset, follow these steps:

Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

Restart your Xbox console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox controller to open the Power Center. Select Restart console and then select Restart. (If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)

After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

Then that is not the issue. Maybe just give it a few more hours and see if it resolves itself. If not contact
Xbox Support to see if there is something going on with your account.

I have the same problem and have waited over 2 days for it to resolve itself but it still comes up the same

Hello! you could try to delete your profile and reinstall it. Another option would be to do a hard reset.
