Unable to Set a drive in Choose a drive panel for Game Pass games in Xbox App (Windows 11)

Tried what hyperionthunder had working for them, but sadly, didn't work for me Any update on this? It used to work!

After going through the steps above one more time,.

1. Raised Powershell and did the following command
   
   1. get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers start ms-windows-
      
   2. store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
      
2. Clicked Install
   
3. Clicked Yes
   
4. Restarted the PC. T
   
5. Then Had Xbox App, Gaming Services, Microsoft Store app reset via Settings.
   
6. Then deleted the keys associated with Gaming Services and Gaming Services Net.
   
   1. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices]
      
   2. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet]
      
7. Restarted the PC again
   
8. Repaired Gaming Services via Settings
   
9. Then checked Xbox app if I can install Tunic. It worked.
   
10. Then I am able to install the other games fine. Finally.
    

Tried these steps for myself with good hopes but it didnt work for me sadly. Glad yours is working now. Good job!

Halo reach it's a complement for the master chief collection game, it won't give you a option to where to install, will be installed on the game installation path only, in this case Halo MCC game

Full games like Sea of thieves will give the option because it's a game not a complement

It seems quite a few people are having this issue with pc xbox app as well as myself. This isn't a fix but until you can find one or microsoft fixes it, you can use this work around solution. If you have a smart phone or tablet, you can get the mobile game pass app. Use the mobile app to install games to your pc xbox app. On the mobile app just make sure you have PC games tab selected before trying to install the game of your choice to your pc otherwise it will assume you are trying to install to a xbox console. Hope this helps.
