Unable to send messages

Anytime I go to send a message, it says I cant send messages from my account and it tells me to go to support.xbox.com/fix-messaging and when I try the "solution" on there it still doesnt work. Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks in advance.

Ever since the Xbox One servers have gone up I've had trouble with messages and other service problems on my Xbox 360. Yeah the One is great, but Microsoft, don't forget about the 360, in which I don't spend $60+ a year on service that requires me to try
10+ tries to send a message. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Unable to send messages

I never had a problem sending messages until about 3 days ago. Now when I try to send one I get a Validation Error message about making sure my privacy settings are set to allow messaging. So I go into xbox.live and look at all my settings, which have
never changed, and see that they are set to allow messaging, but I still can't message.

Have you added a security proof to your account also?

Usually if you add a new or remove and re-add the existing security email and then turn off and unplug the console and boot back up that will fix this.

I do a hard reset as well unplug your router for 30 seconds and plug it back in.

same issue ,has your aaccount been fixed?

So sorry didn't get back to you soon, and the account still hasn't been fixed 3 weeks later. I can send messages in any other imaginative way. Smartglass, xbox.com, 360, 360 backwards compatibility... just not through the Xbox One side guide. I have pretty
much stopped playing for the last little bit if the fix ever happens. I am annoyed about this and they wont escalate me.

Not sure if you're having the same problem but I had something similar happen.

My friend was "offline" and I could not join his game, even though he sent an invite.

He had to be shown as online before it worked.
