Unable to see Multiplayer option in No Man's Sky

I'm unable to see the mulitplayer option in No Man's Sky. This happened a few days ago, and I've tried everything -

Restarting the game, changing Networks, going through Xbox Live Privacy and changing who can see my captures and who can see my uploads, (this was already set to Everybody.)

It is to be noted that I also discovered that my membership expired. However, even though I renewed it, it still didn't show the multiplayer option at the time.

The only way I "fixed" it was resetting my Xbox, but without removing the apps. It seemed to work, until I tried it the next day. Instead of giving me the option on choosing single player or multiplayer, it just puts me in the single player file select.

The "Network" option is also missing in the start menu. The last time I was able to play multiplayer with no problems was through the Polestar event a few days ago where I enabled/disabled multiplayer through single player.

As stated above, I've checked those settings and it was already set as Everybody.

This has been an issue impacting a small group.

There are some methods we can try which can also be found online which ill leave below.

1. Go to privacy & online in your Xbox Settings or account settings.

2. Select Xbox live privacy.

3. Select details and customize

4. Select game content.

5. Then allow everyone to see your game clips and captures and go to " who can see and upload community creations and change that to everybody.

Can you try performing a power cycle on your Xbox?

To do this:

For Series X|S

- Open Settings on Xbox.

- Select the General tab.

- Click on Power Options.

- Under the “Options” section, click the “Shutdown now” option.

- Click the “Shut down” button.

For Xbox One

Go to the Home screen.

Press the Menu button on the controller.

Select Settings.

Go to Sleep Mode & Start-Up

Select Turn Off/ Full Shut Down.

Once done, power up the console and see if the issue continues.
