Unable to see child in Xbox Privacy settings

Hi, I hope someone can help.

My children are added as children to my Microsoft family but their gamertags are not available under Xbox privacy settings.

I need to access this to allow them to play Minecraft realms. I've checked that all our accounts are set to the same country and correctly filled out.

I am also unable to contact Microsoft support via chat because the form does not autofill my first name and surname, meaning that I am unable to initiate a chat session. It's all very bizarre.

Searching the problem has not returned any solutions. I hope someone can help!

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

    privacy settings of my child

I wanted to change the privacy settings of my child, but when I want to change the privacy (Xbox), I see there is only my account and not see the child's account. Please tell me what to do to change privacy settings for a child.

Unable to see or edit children privacy settings in xbox.com

    Hello all,

I'm unable to see my child's Microsoft account under xbox.com privacy settings. The child account appears to be properly associated with my family and is otherwise functional. Child is using a Windows 10 machine, websites are properly blocked, games have
been purchased, and they are able to log into xbox account using the built-in xbox application.

However when i log into xbox.com as the parent i am unable to change or view any settings for that child. The child doesn't even show up in xbox.com.

I have tried to remove and re-add the child to the family to no avail. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

    How to open privacy settings

    Hi King,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are unable to access privacy settings. Here is a guide for

    troubleshooting changing privacy settings
. Also, are you on an adult account or child account? If a child account you will need to be on the parent account.

    Thanks,

    Brad

    Restrictions on xbox account?

    Hi Kelly,

Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums. We see you are wanting to change
    permissions on a child account
. Unfortunately, once it is a child account you are unable to give it full parent access. You can set the privacy setting to adult and allow to make purchases. If you are wanting full access you would need to make an adult
    account.

    Hope this helps.

    Brad

Problemas com a conta -[Translation - Account issues]

    Hello JoãoPedroXR,

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are unable to add friends due to your Microsoft account's privacy settings. If you have a child account, you must

add your child account to a family by using an adult account. This will allow the adult account to

alter the privacy settings of the child account
so the child account can add friends and utilize other social features. The articles we provided contain steps on how to complete this process. Be sure to let us know the results!

    Minecraft

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to us today. I'm sorry to hear about the current issue adding friends on Minecraft. Are you unable to add friends through any other game? Since it mentions that it won't allow you due to the Xbox Live account settings I would like
to clarify, is your account a child or adult account? If you want to manage your child's privacy settings, see
How a parent can change the privacy and online safety settings for a child account.

If you’re having trouble managing your privacy and online safety settings on your console,
sign in with your Microsoft account and click
Xbox One Online Safety to review and change your settings online.

    Child can’t play realms.

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good evening

There are a few things you can check if your child is unable to play Realms on Xbox even though you have enabled multiplayer and Realms on the Xbox family app:

Make sure that your child's Xbox account is set up correctly: Your child's Xbox account needs to be properly set up and linked to your Microsoft account in order for them to be able to play Realms. If their account is not set up correctly, they may not be able to play.

Check the privacy and online safety settings on your child's Xbox account: Make sure that the privacy and online safety settings on your child's Xbox account are set correctly to allow them to play Realms. To do this, go to the "Privacy & online safety" tab in the Xbox guide, then select "View details & customize" and make sure that the "Multiplayer gaming" and "Communicate with voice and text" options are set to "Everyone" or "Friends."

Check the Xbox Live status page: If there are any issues with the Xbox Live service, your child may be unable to play Realms. You can check the Xbox Live status page to see if there are any known issues that could be affecting your child's ability to play Realms.

Restart your Xbox console: Restarting your console can sometimes resolve issues with stuck games or other issues. To do this, press the Xbox button on your controller to bring up the guide, then select "Restart console."
