Unable to save or exit world

nevermind it was a first time update bug but still...

Mine always freezes when exiting back to the menu after saving my world.

This used to happen to me, the only thing I can suggest is saving your game and then exit and save. Or exit and save right off the bat. If you don't want to save what you've done, try joining a friends session because it will close your world without saving.

minecraft sometimes makes 2 saves and it uses a older save, are you allowing the game to sync?

you could create a backup of your saves when you exit the world click Y on the world and copy

Your world saves, but your inventory and your map doesn't save properly in this case. I tried going to sleep before saving and exiting to the main menu. And that didn't work. I think Microsoft and the game developers need to fix this. Our consoles are doing
the proper job but the game isn't. When you save and exit your world, the game is suppose to save everything properly - INCLUDING your inventory and map. Now my map like says I've only explored a small circle on my world when I've explored my entire world.
This is happening so far only on my main map. Other than that, all the buildings and things in my chests have saved. This bug can even affect your friends when they visit your affected world. Their inventory's and map are completely blank.
