Unable to Restore to Factory Settings

I have tried multiple times to restore my sons 360 to factory settings but it is not working. Is there a different way to reset the settings? If not is there anything else I can do other than the way that is posted on a variety of different sites. Thanks

Is there a quick way to remove data/clear my xbone?

Should be a factory restore of some kind. That will wipe everything from the console and set it back to when it was in the box.

 

Error code: 80151901 "Your console cannot connect to Xbox live."

I would also recommend that you restore your Xbox network settings to factory defaults. Navigate to System Settings and Network Settings. Select the Additional Settings tab and Restore to factory defaults. Reconfigure Xbox wireless settings.

You can factory reset by:

1) Go to System Settings > Console Settings

2) Make a note of the Console Serial number under System Info

3) Go to Memory and press Y

4) Select Format (Make sure you don't leave anything you don't want to be deleted on the console.)

5) Enter Serial Number, and you should be good!

Note: this will not delete your gamer profiles, game saves etc. So you should have no issues getting them back from the cloud. You might not need to enter your serial number, depending on the model of your console.

Yeah this is the way I have been trying and failing. I think the machine is just done. I might have to just get him a new one.
