Unable to reset parental lock...

Hi there, was given a second hand xbox 360 console and i need to remove to parental lock. Contacted xbox who gave me a unique code sequence to put in but it does not work and they say there is nothing else they can do as there is only one code that will
work...

is there a special timing i need when putting in the code?

Is there anything else i can do? i dont want to throw it away...

Reset parental lock

Only way to reset it is to call Xbox support. 1800-4-MY-XBOX if you are in the United States.

Did you try this? I'm assuming this is the "code" they gave you, but make sure you're on the right screen first.

I've recently purchased a used xbox 360. The seller didn't mention that they had parental lock set and didn't offer the password or reset the settings. Can I get rid of the lock so that I can do a factory reset?
