Unable to register Xbox controllers

Long story short, I had my controller registered on my Microsoft account, it broke and was replaced by Microsoft, I went to register the new controller while noticing the old controller was missing from my registered devices and it would say that my new controller was registered but does not show up in the device list.

To test the registration system, I removed my Xbox and also was not able to register it back to my account, I had to physically log out of my Xbox and then log back into it for it to register to my account again.

If a login is required to register devices then how am I supposed to register my controller now that also needs to be replaced again under warranty?

I placed a warrant request for replacement and now they won’t fulfill the request because it is not registered. I have been trying to register this device for months now and it will not take on the Microsoft page.

Your new controller may be registered to your Microsoft account, but not appear in the list of devices for a few reasons. There may be a delay in updating the list of devices, the new controller has not yet been fully linked to your account, or there may be a problem with synchronization.

Make sure you are looking at the correct page of devices in your Microsoft account, as the new controller may not be appearing in the devices section, but rather in the "Linked devices" section or something similar.

2. Check the link:

Even if the controller appears as "registered", make sure it is correctly linked to your device. It may be that the controller has not been recognized by your operating system.

3. Wait:

Sometimes the data takes a while to update. Check the list of devices again after a while to see if your new controller appears.

4. Unlinking and Relinking:

If the issue persists, try unlinking the new controller from your account and then relinking it.
