Unable to Register Elite Controller on Microsoft Device Services

I have been trying to register my Elite Controller 2 on my devices on my Microsoft account. I have attempted multiple times to enter the serial number and add the device but it is not working. Each time it says my device has been added but it still doesn't
show up.

Add a device, add an xbox accessory, enter the serial number and it says my device has been added. Yet my device still doesn't show.

My elite controller is having issues with the buttons which I've learned is a common issue. I am attempting to see if it's still under warranty and start a service/repair order with it.

1. Why is my device not registering? Is it a bug with the site?

2. How else can I find if my device is still under Warranty?

3. How else can I start a repair on my elite controller?

It says "Phone calls and chats aren't available for this issue.Try one of these:" and lists redeeming gift cards or opens the virtual agent.

I have tried multiple ways to contact someone but have been unable to. Almost all options lead to the same unavailable message and the virtual chat has been unhelpful. I understand due to Covid a lot of support is overwhelmed these days.

Is there another way to resolve my issue other than going through this Contact Us menu?

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are unable to register the controller. In this case we recommend requesting a call from support to assist you in the repair set up.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

Step 1 ----click on Contact us
Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next

Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.
