Unable to redeem prepaid code

Purchased a prepaid 12 month Xbox Live Gold code, the code is valid but it repeatedly says "Something went wrong. Please try again later.".

I've been trying for over a day, my internet is fine and this is a priority, seeing as my XBL Gold expires on the 10th. The card code is a "UK only" one, but that shouldn't be an issue as it never has been in the past. Tried redeeming multiple times on my
Xbox One.

Need help redeeming my xbox live code

I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

so what the... what do I do now?

They can verify if the code is valid or not.

If the code is valid they can assist you further by trying to redeem the code in several ways or even exchange it for a new one (as a final solution).

If the code isn't valid then you have to contact your reseller and ask for support there.

 

Why is there no standard e-mail support option?

And the issue has gotten worse since I posted. I successfully redeemed the code online (on the site) and checked to see if the 12 months of Gold was added. It was.

So, I turn my Xbox One back on, less than an hour ago, to find the 12 months that I added yesterday has disappeared now, and I'm left with it expiring on Saturday.

On the next screen you can see the current status of your subscription. What does it say there?

 

It says it expires on 6/7/2018 (MM/DD/YYYY, US), so the 7th June 2018, which is great, but my XBL Gold Store Link on my Xbox One still says 10/06/2017 (DD/MM/YYYY, UK).

What's even weirder is that usually, the 12 months is directly added on to the end of the current subscription, so it should expire (if it updated correctly) on 10/06/2018 (DD/MM/YYYY), not on the 7th June 2018. It appears as if it has been listed as a separate
subscription that started from the day I redeemed it, not as an extension to my current subscription and I have to admit, I'm at least somewhat concerned that I'll lose my tenure if I allow the current sub to expire on Saturday.

I'm hoping it's just some glitch, but that expiration date just has me worried now.

 

Try to logut of your account on your xbox and login afterwards.

Probably fixes the date glitch on your xbox.

 

I've logged in and out several times over the last couple of days and at least 3 times in the last 24 hours. No change.

 

Cleared your Xbox One' cache? Holding your power button on the console (not the controller) untill it shuts down will do this.
