Unable to redeem Gears Of War complimentary codes

I have just spoken with an online support rep (Francis Joseph) whom has asked me to post this issue here for a resolution.

I bought an XBox One S 1TB Gears Of War 4 bundle in the UK and because of this, I received codes for Gears 1, 2 and 3. I have tried to redeem them online and keep getting error messages similar to this one:

I am in the UK and if I try to redeem the codes on my console, it fails with an error message telling me that the game isn't available in my language (English UK).

Cannot redeem Gears of War 1 and 3 that came free with Gears of War 4 on XBOX One

I bought a copy of Gears of War 4 for the Xbox One a while back. It came with free downloads of Gears of War 1-3 and Gears of War Judgement. I was able to redeem Gears of War 2 and Judgment but am unable to redeem Gears of War 1 and 3. And with 3, it says
the code has already been used but it does not appear in my library, whereas with 1, I am simply unable to redeem it. Please help.

 

Export RB1 songs now or later?

The twenty free DLC can be downloaded right away. The code that we get is the one you type directly into XBox Live on the Redeem Code section. (Like the Gears if War 2 map pack). There is no messing around with websites like the US versions.

 

That code is usually the sign of a region issue. If your account is set to the UK, try going to
Sign in to your Microsoft account and re-enter your information.

 

Thanks - I have re-entered my details at that site and tried again. Sadly it fails

Just in case anyone finds this in a Google search, I have a solution. I also have problems downloading some of the X360 games with gold each month, support weren't very helpful in telling me to do it via a X360!

The long and short is that it does appear to be a region issue as suggested by Smwutches, but not a genuine one. I am indeed in the UK and my account/XB1 etc are all set to UK. For some reason, I can only assume my ISP doesn't show as being from the UK (albeit
that it is). So I used a VPN connected to a UK host and everything works fine.
