    Still no response after 3 months.

    Kindly help as I am unable to redeem codes of GOWs which i got via message after playing GOW UE before 31 Dec 2015.

    Unable to redeem Fallout 3 and gears of war codes on xbox one

    Hello,

    For some time now i am trying to redeem the code i received from purchasing Fallout4 and GOW ultimate edition on my xbox one.

    I am currently in cyprus and my account was set in greece.

    Today i migrated my account from greece to cyprus but i am still unable to redeem the codes.

    The error it produces now is Xbos1005

    Please help me.

    What is the complete error 8015017 if so it's easy to fix

    Match your account region to you actual region

    Goto account on this Web site and change my region

    In order to download that content you must live in an xbox live region

    I've already tried that troubleshooting step, my account should be set to the correct region, however when I try to check that and set it again, it gives me a different error.

    Here is the remainder of one of the strings from the XBOS1005 error

    Question what is your actual region and it's not the console setting

    It is the account setting found on this page

    Ylif you have to change it you must do it under my account and change my region

    It isn't something you can do on the fly

    Also if you don't live in an xbox live region it wont work

    What content is it

    If you change to a region on the console you must add a payment method

  7. Actual region is Australia, if you are referring to the steps detailed
    here
    , then I've already tried that and it returns an error. I've also clicked on the globe icon down the bottom right and tried that too.

    If there is a different step that you are referring to, I'm afraid i don't quite understand what you are asking me to try and do.

    Hey Interanoxide,

    Which game are you trying to redeem with that code you're using? In addition, if you were to check your
    Manage Billing Info page, does the drop down menu at the top show multiple billing accounts that are split between different regions?

    If you see multiple regions listed on the page I linked above, you will need to contact phone support again to help address that as that could get in the way of redeeming codes. Unfortunately we can't provide too much assistance regarding billing on the
    forums.

    Be sure to post back what game that code is for as well so we take a deeper look! Unable to redeem codes - XBOS1005 :)

  9. Hi Mister Beep,

    Just checked that page, and it looks like it could be the issue at this stage, I have locations for Australia as well as the US, Russia and even Aruba...

    The codes are for Gears of War, as well as prepaid codes for XBLive.

    I'll see how with redeeming the codes after the billing location issue has been solved.

    Gears of war 3 and 1 is region locked as mentioned your account region must reflect your actual region

    Also youust solve the split billing issue and you would have to wait

    For the future issues it's best not to change regions to gain access to content gears of war and many 360 content is region locked

    While I appreciate the fact that you are trying to help, the information you're providing is just repetitions of previously provided solutions and I'm finding it more frustrating than helpful.

    I am waiting to hear back regarding the split billing issue, as is mentioned immediately above your reply.

    I guess I haven't mentioned, but so you don't keep vilifying me, my account was previously hacked, which is why there are other regions present on the account.
