    Unable to redeem 12month membership


    Hi,

    Every time I try to redeem my 12 month prepaid code I get an unexpected error....I've tried on both my xbox one and via the website but both return an error...

    Error code online:

    XBOS-3013

    Error message on xbox one:
    "Sorry, but an unexpected error has occurred. The error has been recorded and we will investigate. Please try to redeem your code later"
    Any ideas whats going on? Very frustrating...

    I see you have a gold account now? Are you trying to add 12 months on top of that? If so, have you changed credit card details during your current gold subscription? If so you'll need to wait for your current sub to expire before you can use your new code.
    Good news is the codes do not expire.

    Just to add to what I was saying, you can add subscriptions on top of each other no problem, but if you've added or changed a credit card it doesn't let you add to them. You would need to let it expire and then use your code. Hopefully that makes sense.

    Same problem here. My xbox live gold subscription ended yesterday and can't redeem my 12 month subscription code.

    Never mind. Was able to successfully redeem it through the xbox app on my smartphone.

    It looks like this issue cleared up for the other posters in this thread. What did support say when you reached out to them? Have you tried redeeming the code over here on Xbox.com instead of through your console? If you're still having trouble, please create
    a new thread detailing your issue, that way we can best help out.
