    Unable to recover account


    Basically I'm trying to recover my old account and change the email address of my Xbox Live account from the old one to an address I currently use; unfortunately I don't remember the password for the gamertag or the answer to my security question and I can't
    reset the password for my gamertag as the email address associated with it was deleted (by Google, not me) and is unrecoverable. Is there anything I can do to fix this or am I just stuck?

    Unable to recover account

    I used my hard drive and Xbox Live account on a modded Xbox (not mine), and upon putting the hard drive back into my own Xbox, my Xbox Live account became corrupted. When I tried to recover my account, it said that it "can't save your profile on the selected
    storage device. Please make sure the device is inserted correctly and has enough free space, and then try again." My hard drive is inserted correctly because the rest of my gamer profiles load, and I still have around 33 or 34 GB's left. I've tried to recover
    it multiple times, but it always brings up the same message. What can I do to successfully recover my account?

    Hi Crinklyink85429. I think the only thing you can do at this point is contact xbox billing and account support. You can provide them with the info they need to prove you own the account in order for them to reset your password for you.

    Hello,

    1. Go to the Reset your password page.
    2. Click to select I think someone else is using my Microsoft account.
    3. Click Reset your password.
    4. Enter your Microsoft account name.
    5. Type the characters you see in the picture.
    6. Click Next.
    7. Click Customer support.
    8. When Customer support appears, click it.
    9. Enter the Microsoft account that you are trying to recover.
    10. Enter your contact email address.
    11. Click Continue.
    12. Validate your identity by providing as much information as you can on the Microsoft account recovery page.
    13. Follow the instructions to finish.


    You will need to follow those directions exactly. You will need to be able to fill in the information needed for the account recovery process, that is the one and only way to get the account recovered again.
