Unable to receive game invites from one gamer tag previously ok

i spent 4 hours today on chat and phone trying to resolve this issue but still no luck or resolution,

we have two gamer tags in this family until yesterday both could Send each other game invites and they would receive and thus be able to join each other's games. However as of yesterday afternoon gamer tag 'a' can send an invite to gamer tag 'b' this is
received and they can play BUT if gamer tab 'b' sends an invite to gamer tag 'a' it states on the screen invite sent but no invite is ever received on the other console so game cannot be joined !?! I am at a loss nothing in either profile has been changed
both are extremely open everything allowed or not blocked. We have tried so far

removing friendships and re adding

Removing from both consoles the profiles and re adding

resetting to factory settings on both consoles and setting up again

various checks on network settings (on consoles)

turning off and restarting our router

and still one account is not receiving game Invites from the other .... It's like they have not even been sent

HELP/ADVICE from anyone would be really appreciated as

Unabke to receive most invites

Since the update I've been unable to receive invites from almost everybody. I can receive most, but not all, invites from friends and followers and 99% of invites from others are never received either. I can still join parties and games with other people
and send invites to others with no problem but I can't receive invites which makes it very difficult to play games or join parties with people not on my friends list.

I have not been recieving my game invites from friends this was not too much of a problem until titanfall arrived as I could join games myself when required

I have cleared my alternate mac, hard reset, checked settings on internet
