Unable to receive game invitations or party invitations after the update

I need to add to this; My friends list has been stuck in limbo with the same info for a few days. The same people online doing the same thing (i.e. One person has been watching a blu ray movie for two days). I can't get party invites, I can't invite people
who I know are online (but not showing up). I can clearly see the people when I play Battlefront, and can even invite them to my in game party (no talking can be heard), but I can't join parties.

I've done all the usual resets and such. What's going on?

Edit: the friends list on my Smart Glass works fine!

Have you tried a hard reset on your console to see if it addresses the issue? Also, have you checked your settings to make sure that your notification settings are correct?

My issue seems to have resolved itself. Invites are working properly, though I can't take any credit.

My expert advice- turn the thing off for about a week. That is what worked for me.

I am having the same issue. Contacted xbox support for fix and they told me trouble shoot LOL . You tube is more help. go to network / network settings/ advanced settings/ alternate mac address and have it restart. This worked for me. For now I have
read it comes back and as of now Support had no other suggestions for me today
