unable to read code on xbox gift card. Need new code

Hi, I would recommend following the recommended steps in the
Digital Code Solution guide pertaining to codes that are damaged or unreadable. If the code is unable to be replaced using the steps in the guide, I would then recommend contacting the original seller of the code to see if an exchange is possible. Hope

Would like transfer fund into my grandson Microsoft account, it not family account.

Hello, you are unable to transfer the funds directly to your grandson. You may however purchase a digital gift card that will provide a code that can be redeemed on the Microsoft Store, directly from your grandson's Xbox. I have provided two links. One in
