Unable to re purchase game

Content is not transferable between accounts. If you are unable to access content purchased under a banned account from another account, then it will need to be re-purchased.

The app just says I have to re purchase it…no option to click download. Very frustrating…I appreciate everyone’s help..but this is a gift and unable to use/ play ..

Not sure if it helps, but it's worth the shot. You will need to know both the email address and password (security settings) for the Xbox Live Account.

Please follow the following steps:

1. Delete your profile from the console, be sure to delete only the profile, to do so check this link:

2. Clear the console cache, see this link for the how to:
support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

3. Turn the console off.

4. Turn the console on.

5. Clear the console cache one more time

6. Redownload your profile.(See the same link as 1.)

Have you changed consoles since you last purchased the game? If so then you would need to do a license transfer and download a game to the console via the download history (Settings>Accounts>Download History) to make it the main console.

is this only happening on the 360 console or also when on xbox.com download history page?

I don't think it has to do something with the backward compatibility, have you tried clearing the cache of the 360 console? To see if that makes any difference?
