    Unable to download Xbox live Gold free 360 titles on Xbox One

    This problem has been happening when I try to purchase an Xbox live Gold 360 game on my Xbox one. I go to the games with gold page on my home screen and up come the games with gold and the deals with gold, currently the only free 360 title is Super Meat
    Boy. I go to the Super Meat Boy page and press 'Show price'. This brings up a page saying, 'Super Meat Boy features Xbox One Backward Compatibility. You can play it on your Xbox One and Xbox 360'. There is then an option saying 'continue' to continue the purchase.
    When I press this an error appears saying, 'Sorry, your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox.' All of this is being done from an Xbox One mind you. This problem occurs with all 360 games
    I try to purchase, not just the games with gold.

    This issue may also relate to the fact that in My games and apps page, the Ready to Download section does not display the xbox 360 games available for download due to xbox live gold.

    This issue is not urgent but would like to have it solved by the time Xcom: Enemy Within, finishes being an Xbox live gold 360 downloadable title.

    Hello!

    Yes, all Xbox 360 games with gold titles are backwards compatible with Xbox One. The only requirement is that your account is able to purchase/download Xbox 360 marketplace content.

    If you meant you want to claim Forza Horizon that is a 360 game part of backward compatibility for xbox one, in that case you need a valid method of payment (like a credit card) linked to your account. Even if the game is free with gold a purchase of 0,00$
    will be registered under your account.

    To make the purchase you must use an xbox 360.

    Or.have a parental account with actual gold not home gold make the purchase

    Xbox 360 markrtplace is different from xbox one child accounts must makefile purchase on the 360 or have a parental account make the purchase

    Xbox one unrestricted setting is incompatible with xbox 360

    Original Xbox titles are much like Xbox One games and purchased through that store under backwards compatibility so the same rules as Xbox One titles apply and you will need to have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription to play those.

    The Xbox 360 titles are different because of how that store was engineered and handled licensing, and the limitations of that store are why the "purchases" are permanent. Since the OG Xbox titles are purchased via the Xbox One digital storefront, they do
    not have the same stipulations as the 360 titles.

    Please note that I have not verified this myself, but a friend of mine tested this and was unable to play the backwards Xbox titles without an active Gold subscription, so if there is conflicting information, please feel free to correct me.

    This means you are using a Child Account which is unable to make purchases or downloads of M-Rated (18+) titles. Even if your parents have given you permissions, the Xbox One and Xbox 360 operate on different marketplaces. There are only two ways to download
    the game in this case: 1) Have a parent account with it's own Gold membership (not Shared) sign in and download the game OR 2) Download it from an Xbox 360.
