your region setting should always match your location of the console. The language is freely selectable, but some of the store information is mandatory in the "Region Language". More important is the address of the Microsoft account (X-BOX) which determines the store you are visiting.

This must match any credit cards that may be deposited.

So if you run in problems by redeem codes change the language back.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. Unfortunately, there is not much you an do if you are unable to change the language in the game settings. You purchased a game from a certain region, so it has that regions language by default. You can
either purchase the game in your region or try the game settings.

Dont believe everything that googles tells you it is that simple

there is no authorized way to download out of region content

also to change the language of a game you infact need a new purchase as old downloads would be of your other region not the new region

the migration tool is not a toy

it is meant for people who move notto gain access to content they arent supposed to

gears of war and halo have beem region locked since release of halo ce due to international laws controling content and yes halo and gears are censored in certaun regions

Very few games support multiple languages ingame when you purchase codes they usually state what language they are in

As the code has been used, there is no way to request a refund. Microsoft advises that the code will only work in the country that was purchased prior to purchase.

Regarding the game's language, it will depend on the region and language your friend uses on the console. If the game is not in the language of their country, the game will likely download the version closest to their region.

For example, I can be in Spain but if I want to play something in English I change the region/language of the console and download the game.

Your bank may be able to cancel the purchase if it complies with the bank's policies.

Usually purchases and some Apps on the Xbox Marketplace are region-locked. If you are unable to purchase the game on GoD due to region-error, then you will have to get your hands on a physical copy of the game.
