Unable to purchase anything XBox One - 0x8ca50001

Assistance please. I am currently unable to purchase anything from on my Xbox One now. Last month I purchased Peggle2 and paid for a gamertag change successfully. This week however I am unable to purchase the Season Pass for Ghosts or Dead Rising 3. I
get the error "Sorry, there is a problem. Something went wrong, and this is not available right now. Check for it later(0x8ca50001) What are you trying to purchase? Season pass doe DR3 and Ghosts for Xbox one What error code or message are you receiving (from
the console)? See above What region is your account? Canada What region do you physically connect from? Canada Help please.

Unable to make purchases on Xbox One

I am unable to purchase anything (season passes, dlc, movies, etc..) on Xbox One. I can purchase on the Xbox 360 with no issue. I do not understand why on one console I can but on the other I am unable to purchase or even edit.

 

Can't make a purchase. Very uncommon error message displaying.

I am having the same issue in the U.S. One week and I still can't download anything. Spins for a while then I get the error message mentioned by the OP (0x8ca50001).

 

i think is a problem with the internet, i have a similar problem, i bought a $50 card of xbox and now apparently it says that i have to use a credit card in xbox one... but on xbox 360 i have $50 in xbox one it just asks for a credit card :|

The Xbox One works as the website. It will only need the Payment Option on the file to verify your location (to prevent others from outside the region purchasing the game - for example if its a discount offer for a specific region). You will be able to use
the Microsoft Currency for the purchase with no problem if you have a Payment Option added.

 

spent over an hour on phone in 2 calls with microsoft very helpfull with this problem they seem to think it is a security update issue before xbox one i kept ignoring the prompts on 360 when signing in that display your contacts and can they verify etc and
then on xbox one the first time i try to purchase [0x8ca50001] comes up soit makes sense anyway we updated my security info and now the 30 day wait as your blocked from purchase for this period after updating security hope it works will post after.
