Unable to purchase anything (even free).

Been trying to grab various items over the past couple weeks. I was able to grab a texture pack for Minecraft on Sep 5th. Since then I have been unable to download anything. Even free content.

My gold account doesn't expire until December. I have a bit over $5 in the account. Sorry, didn't think of it until this moment, I have not tried downloading a previous purchase. Will try that after I post this message.

I tried to grab AirMech Arena (free). I go to the game info screen and click download. A dialog comes up which usually permits selecting save devices and payment info (free in this case). All I get in the dialog is a totally blank left panel with (B) Cancel
as the only option.

I tried downloading a free trailer. Same dialog, blank, no option to confirm.

I tried to purchase a Minecraft texture pack, since I did purchase one on the 5th, same dialog, blank, no option to pay ($1.00) which I have in my M$ account.

I went to the 360 market place on my PC browser and attempted to purchase AirMech Arena there..This is what I got after a long delay:

I am at a loss here. If the xbox dialog presented some sort of error code, at least I would have something to go on, but with a blank white screen, well, how do you google that ? I can't imagine its a market wide thing or there would be a not more whining
on the forums about it.

Hi there - can you check your payment details are correct and up to date? If they aren't, correct them and try downloading content again.

 

Payment details? I don't have any payment details. I have never had payment details. Ever. I have only ever used point cards I purchased at a store.

 

If you're doing this through the website you will not be able to do get the items even if it is free. Please go on the console to get these items. When getting these items through the website they always want a card on the account to purchase these items.
That is why it is best do it through the console.

web say "Uh Oh..." & console says "cant verify credit card" or some crap

Did you read the OP at all? I had been trying on the 360 and then tried the website (to eliminate possible console issues).

Anyway, the issue seems to have resolved itself. I didn't do anything, it just started working again. Go figure.

 

I can purchase over web, but NOT console...

this sucks as Rocksmith 2014 import disc pack is only avail through game...
